I started my first class on the 04th of January, 2020. It was an introductory class where I told them the aforementioned utility of this very skill. They were keen to know more. I’ve chosen the modus operandi of interactive class with one-day theory and another day practical method.

On 5th Jan., we had practical classes on how to introduce yourself. In my second week of teaching, I started the class asking some questions such as - how was your last week, have you share your lessons with others, etc. Then I begin with my PowerPoint presentation.
First, we have had highlights from our last class. This helps in revising the whole lessons once again. I personally believe that the only way to excel in academics is that you should revise your lessons periodically. They were little hesitant; lacking confidence but the start was good.
After that in my third class, kids learned the different functions of communication. This time we have more focus on the topic of debate. I forth discussed how to be an effective debater and showed them some reference videos for their better understanding of the topic. Later, the children were distributed in five groups and were given one topic each for the debate.
My experience was overall mixed with challenges and opportunities. I’ve to face challenges such as creating content for the kids that are being taught to them; there were on some occasions shortage of attendance but these kinds of obstacles give me an abundance of opportunity to enhance my teaching style, soft skills, and leadership quality. I’ll cherish this experience lifelong!
